Terms of Service

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between GuruMe (the "Company") and users in connection with the use of the Narrato service (the website narrato.expo.app and the mobile app, the "Service") provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the AI-based story and memoir generation and narration service provided by the Company, as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
① "Service" means all services through which the Company uses artificial intelligence to generate, narrate, store, and view content such as stories and memoirs. ② "User" means a member or non-member who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service. ③ "Member" means a user who has registered an account through email verification or similar means. ④ "Content" means the results, such as text, images, and audio, generated through the Service based on the information entered by the user. ⑤ "Paid Service" means services the Company provides for a fee, such as subscriptions and single purchases.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)
① The Company posts the contents of these Terms on the Service screen so that users can easily review them. ② The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable laws, and when amending, it will state the effective date and reasons and give notice at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes that are unfavorable or material to users). ③ If a user continues to use the Service without expressing refusal by the effective date of the amended Terms, the user is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Membership and Account)
① A user applies for membership through email verification or other procedures set by the Company, and becomes a member when the Company accepts the application. ② Members must provide accurate information at registration and may not transfer or lend their account information to third parties. ③ The member is responsible for any damage arising from negligent account management.
Article 5 (Contents of the Service)
① The Company provides the following services. 1. AI story generation and illustration (Kids) 2. Memoir organization based on voice interviews (Senior) 3. Voice narration of classic and generated stories 4. Storage, management, and in-app viewing of generated content ② The Company may change the contents of the Service to improve its quality, and will give prior notice of such changes.
Article 6 (Notice on AI-Generated Output)
① The Content of the Service is automatically generated by artificial intelligence, and its accuracy, completeness, and suitability are not guaranteed. ② Generated results may vary depending on the user’s input and the characteristics of the AI model, and the same input may produce different results. ③ Users are responsible for reviewing the generated content themselves before using it for purposes such as children’s education.
Article 7 (Rights to Content)
① The right to use the information entered by the user and the content generated based on it belongs to the user, who may freely use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. ② Users must hold lawful rights to the information they enter to generate content and must not infringe the copyrights, portrait rights, or other rights of others. ③ The Company may use Content only for the purposes of providing and improving the Service and checking for errors, and will not disclose Content externally without the user’s consent.
Article 8 (Paid Services and Payment)
① The Company provides paid services such as subscriptions (monthly/annual) and single purchases. ② Fees, payment methods, subscription renewal cycles, and the like are displayed on the Service screen or the payment page. ③ Unless the user cancels, a subscription automatically renews under the same conditions, and the user may cancel at any time before the next payment date. ④ Specific matters regarding payment and refunds are governed by the separate "Refund Policy."
Article 9 (Minors and Guardian Consent)
① The Kids service is premised on use under the guidance of a guardian. ② Membership registration and payment by children under the age of 14 must be made with the consent of a legal representative (guardian). ③ The Company separately protects children’s personal information; details are governed by the "Privacy Policy."
Article 10 (Prohibited Acts of Users)
Users must not engage in the following acts. 1. Stealing others’ information or entering false information 2. Generating illegal, harmful, or hateful content using the Service 3. Unauthorized access to the Company’s systems or abnormal use through automated means 4. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the Service for commercial purposes 5. Other acts that violate applicable laws and these Terms
Article 11 (Suspension of the Service)
① The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in unavoidable cases such as system maintenance, facility repair, natural disasters, or failures of external AI or infrastructure providers. ② The Company will announce the reason and period of suspension before or after the fact.
Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)
① The Company is not liable for damage arising without the Company’s intent or negligence, such as natural disasters, the user’s fault, or failures of external services. ② Unless otherwise specifically provided by applicable law, the Company is not liable in connection with the use of services provided free of charge. ③ The Company’s liability for damages may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
① These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. ② Any lawsuit regarding a dispute arising from use of the Service shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
Addendum
These Terms take effect on July 15, 2026. These Terms are based on the Korean-language version; in the event of any discrepancy in interpretation with versions translated into other languages, the Korean-language version prevails.
